Motivation – Change If You Want Different Result

Mahatma Gandhi is well known for his saying “We must be the change we want to see.” This saying is absolutely true. We can never change unless we be the change and only we can change ourselves. No one else can do it for us because we belong to ourselves and only we have the right to choose any change we want for ourselves.

We have no control of things that happen outside ourselves. We can neither change other people. However, we can always change ourselves. It’s the choice we have been given for our life.

Changes produce different result. Doing the same thing will bring the same result. A little bit of change can improve the result. A complete change will totally bring different outcome. Wallace Wattles have explained that it is natural law that like causes produces like effects. That goes together with the Law of Attraction: If we do not like the effects, we have to change the causes.

The purpose of life is to move from imperfection to perfection, and to be perfect is to change often. If you have tried to do things and yet you have not got the result you want, then try to do those things in different way. A good example of an inventor that has applied this principle is Thomas Edison.

We must put effort to change because changes does not happen naturally. We must enforce ourselves to take necessary actions towards our goal. If we want to attract certain things or events, we must make it clear in our mind and the intuition that we will receive will lead us to do something.

Jim Rohn have said, “You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.”

  2. Wonderful post on Change! It is indeed difficult to accept that one is responsible for the change they wish to see. Human nature tends to go away from rather than toward this truth. As a result we have a load of difficulties and suffering.

In talking with a friend yesterday, we discussed the internal to external manifestation of change and awakening. The gist of the conversation was that there is nothing to buy, no cave to pray from, no special city to travel to– it can all be done in the present moment. The earnestness and willingness to inquire deeply within and surrender the false, limited self can be done by any person.

Thank you for posting and reminding of our purpose in life and responsibility to change from imperfect to perfect (with the grace of the Source, of course).
